Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the face and ridding of fine vellus hairs (peach fuzz). Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical scalpel specially designed for the face to gently remove the top layer of dead skin. Dermaplaning is more gentle, yet deeper exfoliating than microdermabrasion.
Your experience will include a facial cleansing, Dermaplaning treatment and a cooling, hyrdrating mask if you go for the advanced treatment. This service will exfoliate deeper than microdermabrasion, which will allow all your skincare products to penetrate more deeply and work to it's full potential.
Whilst almost anyone can benefit from dermaplaning, especially those who suffer from dry skin, there are certain scenarios where we’re not able to offer this treatment. If you suffer from acne, you won’t be able to undergo a dermaplaning session with us. For obvious reasons, it would be extremely unprofessional of us to use a scalpel on acneic skin but don’t worry if this applies to you, it’s still something that you can have once your acne has cleared up.
Furthermore, as everyone undergoing dermaplaning is given a suitable assessment prior to treatment, we’ll also need to know if you suffer from any allergies or skin conditions that may prevent us from carrying out the procedure.
